Reviews from the Spectrum - A child on children's books

My guest reviewer is Junior. He is 4 and is on the autism spectrum. He loves to read. For the summer reading game at the library he has read over 40 books and we still have a month to go. Junior watches me on the computer doing my blog.  When he found out I was telling people about books I read, and books I am interested in, he wanted to tell about  his. So today he will tell his. He would love to hear what children’s books you have enjoyed.

The first book is  Pete The Cat I Love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin.

I chose this book because it looks fun. The cat is wearing shoes. That is silly. This is a fun book. I was singing the songs with my Grandma. I loved it! I am going to read it again and again. I hope my teacher will read this to the class.

Wiggle by Doreen Cronin

I picked it because the dog on the cover is dancing and spinning hoops. I like to dance and spin things.I really had fun with this book! It showed all different ways to wiggle. I tried them all! I like to wiggle. I want my teacher to read this in the gym so we can all wiggle. Have a lot of room when you read this so you can wiggle without knocking stuff over.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf by B.G. Hennessy

I chose this book because it looked interesting. This book is an important one. The boy told a lie two times. Everybody believed him. When the wolves came he was in trouble. He ran to tell everybody but this time nobody believed him. This book tells you why you shouldn't lie. Besides it is a rule that you don't lie. If you tell lies this is really an important book for you to read.

My last book is One Smart Cookie by John Nez

I chose this book because the dog is wearing glasses and has a lot of books. That is funny. This book was so exciting! The dog is named Cookie. He goes to school with Duffy. While he is there he smells a fire. Dogs are very good smellers. Duffy and Cookie were able to save the school because they could read.

Reading is very important and lots of fun. You learn a lot of new things. Some books are really funny. Some books are scary. I don't like those ones so much. Sometimes I dream about books I read and I laugh in my sleep. If you want to laugh in your sleep you should probably read a funny book in bed. I hope you had fun reading this. It was fun writing it. Mostly it was fun reading the books. I got a new bike. Bye everybody.
