I love this Christmas Cookbook. I feel it is more than just a cookbook as Debbie Macomber shares ideas for crafts and gifts. She also shares stories of her own family Christmases and the traditions they have. It is a very warm and inviting book.  There are beautiful photographs spread throughout. The recipes are easy and fun to make.  I make monkey bread all the time and had never thought of adding a glaze topping. We loved this simple addition. The Mini Pain au Chocolat is so easy a preteen was able to make it on her own. The Bacon and Egg Breakfast Pizza was another huge hit. Are you hungry yet?  These are just a few samples from the first chapter alone.  Debbie also shares decorating ideas and I loved her 10 Ideas for 10-minute Decor. None of them were expensive and a few were so simple a child could do them, (I'm all for including the kids as much as possible).  Goodies to Go had gift presentation  ideas that I really liked. There are crafts ideas for gifts.  I found the spice and drink mixes especially welcome for children to put together for gifts to teachers, Girl/Boy Scout Leaders and others who interact with our children regularly. I feel a gift the child makes means more to both the giver and the recipient. I also found the Christmas Card ideas to be creative.
This is a cookbook so I will say in addition to breakfast food, there are recipes for appetizers, Christmas Eve and Christmas Dinner, family dinners, cooking with grandma, desserts and of course cookies. I believe you will find this cookbook will become a part of your holiday traditions. I think it is the ultimate Christmas Cookbook.

This book should come with a warning: have Kleenex nearby and get out your Cedar Cove collection. I am sad to see this series end. I love it.  It is a heartwarming series that ends well.  In this book we are treated to not only Beth and her ex-husband Kent's story but also a trip down memory lane with just about every character in Cedar Cove showing up for the final farewell. This book should probably not be read as the first Cedar Cove book you read. The various couples mentioned will most likely confuse you. It is definitely not a stand alone. But if you are like me and have followed the Cedar Cove series you will probably be left with a desire to read the series over again. If you haven't read this series, love romance and are looking for a romantic series, look no further than the Cedar Cove series.  These are heartwarming and emotional books.

Saying goodbye has never been so emotion packed.   I love the Cedar Cove Series. This final chapter was heartwarming but also heart wrenching. This book centers around Beth and her ex husband Kent. Three years ago they divorced and Beth moved up to a Christmas Tree Farm in Cedar Cove.  Kent stayed in California. Now their daughters have gotten a plot to bring them back together, hoping their parents realize what a mistake the divorce was.  The girls tell Beth that their dad wants to come for Christmas and they tell their dad that mom wants to have a family Christmas. When the girls arrive they find Beth has 10 puppies she is looking for homes for and is a little bit cozy with the local vet. Then Kent shows up and he is not alone either. His coworker Danielle is also with him and is allergic to dogs.  Too late to back out, the girls change up the plot and with more schemes keep on target.

There is no adult language or sexual situations in this book, (the closest we get is kissing and Kent being at the local B&B with Danielle), which makes this the perfect book, (and series), for those who like romance without the more adult flair.
