Waiting On Wednesday - Phoebe Kitandis

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking The Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

I saw this awesome book on Good Reads. Here it is:

Glimmer by Phoebe Kitandis
Hardcover352 pages
Expected publication: April 17th 2012 by Balzer + Bray

Here is the blurb:

What if you forgot your identity and had to rely on other people to tell you who you were?

And what if to discover your true self, you first had to unravel a mystery so big and terrifying you were not sure you’d survive solving it?

When Marshall and Elyse wake up in each other’s arms with zero memory of how they got there or who they are, it’s the start of a long journey through their separate pasts and shared future.

Terrified by their amnesia, the two make a pact to work together to find the answers that could jog their missing memories. As they piece together clues, they discover they’re in the idyllic mountain resort town of Summer Falls, where everyone seems mysteriously happy, but as Marshall and Elyse quickly learn, darkness lurks beneath the town’s perfect facade. Not only is the town haunted by sinister ghosts, but none of its living inhabitants retain bad memories of anything—not the death of Marshall’s mom, not the hidden shame in Elyse’s family, not even the day-to-day anguish of high school.

Lonely in this world of happy zombies, Marsh and Elyse fall into an intense relationship...but the secrets they uncover could be the death of this growing love—and the death of everyone, and everything, they love in Summer Falls.

Doesn't it sound awesome? There is a giveaway for the book going on too. It is on GoodReads at BOOK GIVEAWAY FOR GLIMMER . I cannot wait to read this!

Speaking of Giveaways Ishita at The Reading Fish is having her 200 Follower Giveaway on her blog.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
She has a good blog going and even makes you Tube videos about her books. So check her out and enter her giveaway. Oh and Junior, who is way deep in movies from India, says she is a Desi Girl and that means she is a lot of fun. Not sure what that is about but I guess he has a crush on her. So Ishita in case you have always wanted a 4 year old to crush on you here is his picture:

Please don't forget about the Halloween Fun going on this month here. On Monday Bret Jordan guested and posted his short story Jacob's Rising. On Tuesday Kat Nove posted her short story, Family Lore. Today we have Laurie Bowler who writes of memories in a spooky house she lived in. Please check them out and leave a comment. The authors worked really hard on these and would really like to know what you thought, good or bad. I also have some giveaways going on.

So I hope you enjoy all the guest postings and enter the giveaways. Please leave me a comment - you know I love hearing from you!

At first, I was like, "This sounds like The Adoration of Jenna Fox..." and then after reading the whole summary, I was like, "WAIT WHAT? ZOMBIES?" I'm reading a zombie book right now, and I'm kind of iffy about it, but this still sounds very good.
